Playing lead guitar and Lead harmonica at the same time is quite a challenge but it can sound great and is a lot of fun. I went ahead and took the plunge when I saw this riff contest at Yay+: https://www.yay-plus.com/post/out-riff-alif-has-begun #yayplus  #outriffalif

The example backing tracks to play along with were sort of heavy metals tracks and so I decided to go ahead and record something along the same lines, first time I’ve done this and especially the first time in this style of music!

The contest called for a minute or less of music so this is around 45 seconds.  I’m playing an Ibanez Roadstar electric guitar and a key of C Hohner Marine Band Deluxe harmonica, hot-rodded a bit by me and my good friend Matthew Smart.
